What We Do

River Valley hosts a variety of different services in order to best serve and meet the needs of our community and those who are visiting us. Below you will see a few of our main services we host on a regular basis. For additional services and events, please see our newsletter, calendar, or pick up a bulletin on a Sunday morning.

Sunday morning worship

Our primary worship service meets at 10am in the church auditorium. If you are new to us, park anywhere you like and simply walk in the front doors. One of our friendly greeters can direct you from there!

River Valley is a diverse place - we have farmers, businessmen, young families with children, senior citizens, and everything in-between. We also have folks who wear everything from a suit and tie to blue jeans and a t-shirt on Sunday morning. Please feel free to come as you are and worship with us!

Sunday School

Our Sunday School classes meet at 9am on Sunday mornings, and are split into age-appropriate groups. The structure of the Sunday School classes vary, depending on what we are studying and how many are in attendance. Classes are typically led by a Minister, Elder, Deacon, or Trustee, and are another way that we expose ourselves to God's truth through His Word. During this time we are able to dive deeper into the Bible and really study what God has to say to us. This is also a great time to ask questions, wrestle with doubts, and find support through others in a small, intimate setting.

Children and Youth

We love kids at River Valley Church of Christ! On Sunday morning, we have a variety of options available to those with children. You are welcome to keep your children with you through the service, and we offer a cry room where parents can take their children if they get fussy and will still be able to view and hear the service. If you prefer a "kid-free" service time, you can check your children into one of our age-appropriate Wee-Worship or Junior Worship classes. In these, kids sing, hear Bible-based lessons, and have fun with other children their age, all in a safe environment.
